Softening the Past
Breaking down adhesions from surgery or injury to restore movement.

Scar tissue is the body's natural patch kit, but it's often stronger and less flexible than the original tissue. Whether from surgery, injury, or chronic inflammation, scar tissue can bind muscles, nerves, and fascia together, creating adhesions that restrict movement and cause pain—often far from the site of the scar itself. Our Scar Tissue Release therapy is designed to remodel this tissue, restoring flexibility and function.
Normal tissue fibers run in a uniform direction, like combed hair. Scar tissue forms in a chaotic, cross-hatched pattern, like a bird's nest. This random alignment makes it tough but inelastic. We use specific cross-fiber friction and myofascial release techniques to mechanically break down the chaotic fibers and encourage them to realign with the natural grain of the tissue. This improves range of motion and can reduce the appearance of surface scars.
Visible scars that feel tight or sensitive
Pain or pulling sensation during movement
Tenderness or pain in the shoulder, upper back, or arms
Restricted range of motion near an old injury
Numbness or altered sensation around a scar
We don't just chase symptoms. We use targeted modalities to address the source of
your tension.
Applying friction across the grain of the scar tissue to break down adhesions and realign fibers.
Stretching the fascia surrounding the scar to reduce tension on the entire area.
Using suction cups to lift the tissue and separate the scar from underlying layers.
Your scars tell a story of survival, but they don't have to dictate your future movement. By releasing the bonds of old injuries, we can help you regain the freedom and flexibility you thought was lost.
