Arthritis, whether osteoarthritis or rheumatoid, causes joint inflammation, stiffness, and pain. At Shepherd's Touch, we use gentle, non-invasive techniques to reduce inflammation, improve circulation, and maintain joint mobility.
When joints are painful, the surrounding muscles often tighten up in an attempt to protect them. This 'splinting' effect actually increases stiffness and pain. Our goal is to break this cycle. By relaxing the muscles around the joint and gently mobilizing the joint itself, we can improve the flow of synovial fluid (the joint's natural lubricant) and reduce the pressure on the joint surfaces.
